How Often Will These Flights Operate?
In the past, Las Vegas has appeared on the airline’s list of upcoming routes to the United States (alongside Chicago and Seattle). This recent development comes from the ‘surprising’ demand the airline has seen on previous special charter flights for NRL season-opening football matches. Now, the airline will move away from the seasonal service and operate three flights to Las Vegas on a weekly basis.
“Rome and Sapporo have shown us there's real demand for seasonal services to destinations people want to visit at certain times of year, and we're continuing to expand those direct connections around the world,” says Qantas International CEO, Cam Wallace.
This is fantastic news for travellers as Las Vegas is a major music hub and a frequent conference venue for business travellers. As well as a gateway to the American Southwest and its attractions, such as the Grand Canyon.
“Last year, 745,000 Americans visited Australia, and we look forward to welcoming even more visitors down under with the commencement of these new direct flights,” Wallace remarked.
