Reputable UAE carrier, Emirates, has announced that it will be releasing its Emirates Premium Economy cabins to another Australian city, Melbourne. Commencing from February 1, Emirates will retrofit its aircraft on EK 408 and EK409; bringing the quiet luxury and customised experience of Premium Economy to even more passengers.
Melbourne will soon become the second Australian city, following Sydney, to offer Premium Economy on two out of three daily flights. The airline’s decision to expand Premium Economy services is a testament to overwhelming positive responses and high demand from passengers since the introduction of this new class back in June 2022.
The Emirates Premium Economy cabin, situated at the front of the main deck, features a comfortable 2-4-2 configuration, with a total of 56 seats. Offering a generous seat pitch of 40 inch, seat width of 19.5 inch and in-seat charging points as well as a convenient side cocktail table. Passengers will be treated to an enhanced travel experience with thoughtfully curated in-flight amenities, an inventive menu, and an extensive range of beverage options.
Emirates initially launched Premium Economy on its A380, strategically selecting popular routes such as London, Paris, Sydney and Christchurch. The success of the Premium Economy product has prompted the airline to expand its offering to additional destinations like New York JFK, San Francisco, and Auckland.
