Emirates is set to make Perth the fourth Australian city serviced by its latest-generation A380 aircraft, with daily flights set to commence from 26 October 2025.

The New Premium Economy Flights

The commencement of these flights marks Premium Economy's debut on EK420 and EK421 - as well as the deployment of Emirates' newly retrofitted A380.

This development will see Premium Economy added to more than 2,500 weekly flights in and out of Australia. The new Emirates service from Perth complements the current twice-daily flights to Melbourne on the retrofitted A380 and once-daily flights on the Boeing 777. As well as their twice-daily flights to Sydney and Brisbane, both serviced by the A380. These new Premium Economy flights also align with the A350 launch for Adelaide, which is scheduled to commence in December 2025.

Emirates’ new Premium Economy flights from Perth will connect to a wide range of European destinations that also offer Premium Economy services. This includes London, Heathrow, Edinburgh, Dublin, Athens, Istanbul, Lisbon, and more. This ensures travellers will have a seamless yet elevated travel experience throughout the entirety of their journey with the airline.

What Will It Look Like?

The A380 aircraft hosts four cabin classes in total. The Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the plane’s main deck with 56 seats displayed in a 2-4-2 configuration. Each seat is spacious enough to offer passengers the chance to settle in and relax or get some work done. These elevated seats also offer customisable features like charger ports and side cocktail tables. The Premium Economy experience is completed by thoughtfully selected inflight amenities, menus curated especially for you, and extensive beverage options - namely, the Chandon Vintage Brut 2016, which is a global exclusive to Emirates Premium Economy passengers.

From here, Emirates will plan to further their Premium Economy expansion into cities across Europe - such as Nice, Madrid, Oslo, and Frankfurt. Leaving Premium Economy passengers with even more options when travelling from Perth.
